Chapter 1: How do I start? Trying to get unstuck
Hi there,
Welcome to the first post of this blog—a space I’ve been envisioning for what feels like forever. It’s taken countless waves of inspiration, research, doubt, and courage to get here. But today, I’m stepping out. I’m putting myself out there. Where it lands, it doesn’t matter, because the most important step is simply to start.
We’ve all been there. That initial spark of an idea lights a fire in your mind. You feel alive, hopeful, and certain that you’ve hit on something meaningful. You dive into research, gathering insights, watching others, absorbing everything. It feels productive—at first. But then, you hit a wall.
The more you consume, the more paralyzed you become. The confidence you once had starts to waver. Thoughts creep in: “Will anyone care about this?” “Is this even good enough?” “Who am I to try this?”
And then it happens—the spiral. You’ve done so much work, but self-doubt kicks in. You compare yourself to others who seem to have it all figured out, thinking, “If only I could do it like them.” But comparison is the thief of joy. Their path is theirs; yours is yours.
For a while, you might feel defeated. You’ve convinced yourself you’re not ready, that you’ll start “later” when things are perfect. But here’s the truth: there’s no perfect time. Perfection is an illusion that keeps us stuck. The only way forward is to take the leap.
So here I am. Writing this first post and hitting publish. Letting go of the need for perfection and the fear of judgment. I’m putting myself out there, not because I’ve mastered the journey, but because I’ve realized that the biggest obstacle has always been me.
Being vulnerable is a big part of this process. It’s scary to share your dreams, your work, and your authentic self with the world, knowing it might not be received the way you hope. Vulnerability feels like weakness, but it’s actually the purest form of courage. It’s about showing up even when you’re uncertain and saying, “This is me. This is my work. This is my voice.” Vulnerability connects us, because when we share our truths, we remind others that they’re not alone in their struggles.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
You’re your own worst critic. We’re so quick to doubt ourselves, to magnify our flaws, to imagine worst-case scenarios. But most of the time, the only person holding you back is you.
Action is the antidote to fear. The more you hesitate, the bigger your fears grow. But when you act, you start to see that the monsters in your head are just shadows. Taking that first step—even if it’s small—is what matters.
Your uniqueness is your strength. STOP comparing your journey to someone else’s highlight reel. What you bring to the table is valuable because it’s yours.
Vulnerability is courage. Embracing vulnerability isn’t about being fearless; it’s about showing up despite the fear. It’s about being real, raw, and open to whatever comes next.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to start something, HERE IT IS. Whether it’s launching a business, pursuing a creative project, or simply sharing your thoughts with the world—just start. The world doesn’t need another perfect imitation. It needs your authenticity.
So here’s my challenge for you: STEP OUT. Put yourself out there. Have courage and strength; You might stumble, you might question yourself, but you’ll also grow in ways you never imagined. And along the way, you’ll realize that the biggest thing standing in your way was never the world—it was always you.
You’ll be OK, I promise.
Let’s take this journey together. What will you start today?
